A47. Semi-Guided Bear Hunt in
Quebec Did you know that Quebec has one of the largest black bear populations in North America? Black Bears are widely distributed throughout Quebec, however there are some regions where the bear population is much higher. Our hunting area is located in the heart of Quebec’s best bear country, giving you the access to 40,000 acres of prime bear habitat; dense spruce, maple and birch forest, over 30 lakes, and miles of rivers. The baiting starts early May, and goes until the end of June. Our hunters are provided with active baiting sites, each with its tree stand. The average shooting is only about 15 yards. This hunting territory is accessible by road, and located approx. 250 miles from Montreal. Although roads are quite well maintained during late spring and summer, there can be some damaged sections found during the early days of the hunting season. Due to new regulations, our hunts are now available to open to archery, rifle and crossbow hunters.
