Goat Hunt We start these hunts on the 1st of September and hunt through till October 31st. The majority of the Goat hunts will be conducted September and early to mid October where they can also be combined with some fantastic Mule Deer and Black Bear hunting. The Coast Mountain Range,home to these beautiful white monarchs, sporting a very high population and super genetics. We offer Backpack and horseback hunts into this spectacular mountain range in search of the Billy of your dreams. Although legal, we do not harvest nannies, instead focus our attention on mature Billies. A mature Billies in this area will average between 8” – 10,5” with the higher end goats being B+C candidates. Due to the numbers of goats, and topography, this area is very conducive to bow hunting as well. We stress to the hunters the physical conditioning and mental preparation of a goat hunt. Everyone hears stories of the easy goat hunts, which of course at times happens. You have to remember that the average habitat supporting a thriving population of mountain goat, it’s rugged. So don’t rely on a valley bottom goat for success. A large part of goat hunting allure is the terrain and the challenge it offers. It’s a blast! The high country we hunt for goats is also the home to a thriving population of Mule Deer and this country is very well known for its big Mule Deer. A great opportunity. If the hunt is finished early you can also take advantage of some lower elevation Black Bear hunting. Big Bears!
