107 Guided Spring Bear Hunt Over Bait - Archery Only -
Imagine! Lakeshore cabins surrounded by deep forests inhabited by bears, deer, moose, wolves and other wildlife. Good friends, good food, and campfire camaraderie. That's what it's all about! This hunt is very popular among archery hunters because it is an “archery only” hunt offering the highest chances to bag one of those glossy black bruins. It is not unusual for our archers to observe several bears feeding on their bait at the same time. The hunting territory covers a little over 40,000 acres of prime black bear habitat.
Baits and Tree-Stands
Our baiting sites are chosen after carefully scouting the bear’s patterns. For archery hunting, we use both portable and fixed stands installed 15 to 18 feet above ground, and within 15 to 20 yards from our baits. This set up provides the best shooting opportunity. But even at such a close range killing a bear requires a perfect arrow placement. The bear’s vital is a small 8" square spot just behind the front shoulder. It makes no difference about how good you are, if you don’t get a perfect arrow placement, you will get nothing but a wounded bear. When hit, a. bear will not lie down and bleeds out but rather go until he dies which could be for miles, a good hit is therefore essential.
Fishing for Trout and Walleyes
Enjoy some great fishing for speckled trout and walleyes. You’ll have access to 20 lakes, a huge reservoir, and also many wild rivers. Our package includes 1 motorboat with a full tank of gas (1st tank is free). You will not need a guide for trout fishing, we do however recommend our hunters to hire a guide for their first day of walleye fishing, cost is only about $US 110.00 per day for guiding 2 persons.
